Hungry Artist is a dinner, film, and flux series that blends performance, food, and moving image into an intimate and immersive experience. Each Hungry Artist event features a film screening, food installation, activations, and discussion. 

Hunger’s dull ache converges spectacle, lust, and rich, loamy soil underfoot inside the black box at Vox Populi. Branches weighted by glistening meat leaves. Golden corn spills. Overflowing baskets falling like offerings.

Wine drips from suspended sacks. A promise punctured.

Sirens echo invitations to revelry and ecstatic touch and honey pulses, pumped like sweet venom. Stung by the thrill of transformation. Initiators and activators indistinct from spectators dance in rhythm overtop of a thousand pounds of dirt. Overtop black-painted hardwood floors. A sweeping crescent. A whirlwind celebration of autumn’s bounty in apotheosis.
