Emergent Strategy x Transgressive Art Graphics
Graphics I made thinking about transgressive actions by artists that have some engagement between the guidelines of Emergent Strategy.
1. intentional adaptation “We begin by listening” changing to fit some purpose or situation: the process of adapting. Image still of Tracey Emin/Edvard Munch: the lonliness of the soul.
2. fractals What we practice at a small scale sets the patterns for the whole. Close up image of a cauliflower in reference to the film, Wetlands relation between cauliflower and hermmoroids.
3. interdependence & decentralization “Nothing happens in isolation there is always a squad, collaborators, a body that supports change occuring.” who we are and how we share. Image still from Carolee Schneeman’s Interior Scroll.
4. reseilience & transformation justice “We presume our power, not our powerlessness.” Image still of Andrew Fraser, Official Welcome.
5. nonlinear & iterative “ Less on point, more on purpose.” Image still of Pina Bausch dancing Cafe Müller.
6. creating possibilities “ No to judgement, delays, circular conversations and people who are rejecting the process while offering no alternatives.” nothing new under the sun, but there are new suns. Image still of Karen Finley hurling cake at the camera.
